Rooted in the client-centered relational approach to therapy, Monarch Therapeutic Services, embraces an I AMs philosophy that inspires clients to gain control in their lives; affirms clients' inner strengths and faith as the foundation of their healing journey; motivates clients' authentic and honest confrontation of underlying emotional, psychological, physical, and environmental factors that contribute to traumatic stress, behavioral reactivity, anxiety, mood disorders, and addiction; and supports the development and use of new skills, knowledge, and wisdoms to restore healthy functioning. We help clients apply traditional, holistic, integrated & creative interventions to transform distress frompast and current traumas into hope. Clients learn to gain control in their lives and restore balance between mind, body and spirit. Our validating and supportive staff introduce and reinforce psychotherapy insight to free clients from limiting, self-defeating thoughts and feelings about self-worth, relationships, & choices. Clients are encouraged to learn and use healthy therapeutic coping skills to reduce or eradicate problem behaviors and restore positive and healthy family, social, vocational and/or educational functioning. |

Programs
Sister Circle Free monthly support group for single mothers of children 0-16 years old. 2019 meetings: Jul 17, Aug 17, Sep 18, Oct 16, Nov 16 Supporting Parents In the System Free monthly support group for parents with DCF involvement. 2019 meetings: Jun 22, Jul 20, Aug 17, Sep 21, Oct 19, Nov 16 Inner Canvas 8-week creative expressions group uses creative arts and movement to support youth and teens in developing healthy communication, social and esteem building skills. Life Skills Coaching for Young Adults 18-25 years old. This program blends on-line resources and in-person panel/network events to support young people as they navigate the transition into independent, self-sufficient adults. Stress Less with Prayer and Meditation Participants learn to use the healing energies of prayer and meditation to reduce stress and restore balance. Emotional Eating Support Group Participants support each other in learning new, healthy ways to regulate their emotions without bingeing on food. This is not an eating disorders or diet/weight loss group. Licensing Exam Study & Support Group for license eligible clinical therapists (LCSW, LPC), this group blends on-line resources and monthly in-person network sessions to prepare for licensure exam, explore career goals, and expand professional and social connections with peers who understand the unique challenges of clinical counseling. |
