Groups Courses Workshops
Monarch Therapeutic Services offers group programming that is designed to inspire, affirm, motivate, and support balance of mind, body, and spirit. Program activities are presented as groups, courses and workshops. Due to increased wave of coronavirus contagion, program content is offered online only.
Workshops
Workshops are small to medium group interactive programs designed to teach a skill or concept. They require active participation from attendees. Workshops may be completed in one session or over a specified number of sessions.
Seminars
Seminars are medium to large group lecture-based psychoeducational programs. Active participation of attendees may be encouraged but is not required. Seminars are completed in one or two sessions.
Groups
*Psychoeducation Groups - Psychoeducation groups are designed to educate participants about the conditions affecting their lives. Clients develop an understanding of psychological and behavioral issues, increase their level of self-awareness, explore options for growth and change, and identify resources that can help in healing and recovery. Psychoeducation groups meet 1-2 hours weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for a defined period of time.
*Skills Development Groups - Skills development groups are usually designed with a cognitive-behavioral framework and promote the cultivation of coping skills, self-regulation skills, communication skills, relational skills, etc. to change distorted thinking and unhealthy behavior patterns, and increase solution-oriented thinking and healthy patterns of behavior.
*Support Groups - Support groups boost participants' efforts to develop and strengthen their thinking and emotions and to develop better interpersonal skills. They are also designed to improve participants' self-esteem and self-confidence. Participants who share similar experiences or conditions meet for 1-2 hours weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly for an indefinite period of time.
